Jessie J shared a video on Instagram with before and after photos from her ‘secret’ surgery. She was forced to cancel her Australian tour in March due to a heart condition.
Jessie J went from fleek to bleek real quick after undergoing a secret operation.
“On fleek to on bleek real quick,” the singer captioned a split of before and after pics along with the R.E.M’s “Everybody Hurts” tune from what appears to be the hospital where her surgical procedure took place on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old singer wrote to fans that her health condition is “personal and I know you can respect that.”
“I’m going to be offline for a few days and I wanted to show you why,” she explained in the caption of the Instagram video.
“I don’t often share personal stuff (especially about my health) anymore,” Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, continued. “I just get on with it secretly but I wanted to share with you before someone else might and it gets twisted and exaggerated into something different or worse. Meh.
Jessie J posted this selfie on Sunday with the caption, ‘It’s ok not to be ok.’
“I had an operation yesterday so need to rest,” she added. “I won’t be saying what for so PLEASE don’t keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information … I just wanted to explain to my fans why I may go AWOL for a minute.”
She also added, “For the record it’s not my heart or my voice. My heart and voice are FINE.”
The “Price Tag” singer likely clarified that her current health issues have nothing to do with her heart as she suffers from the heart condition Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition in which there is an extra electrical pathway of the heart, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The condition can lead to periods of rapid heart rate and caused Jessie J to cancel her Australian tour in March.
“I f—ing hate that my mind is stronger than my body sometimes,” she wrote at the time.
On Tuesday she went on to write how “hospitals have been a secret second home my whole life and they never get nice to be in. But they can inspire a great song.”
On Sunday she posted a selfie with the caption, “It’s ok not to be ok.”
A rep for Jessie J has yet to respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
