After-School All-Stars is a charity founded by Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger almost 25 years ago, to provide comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school. Dr Robert Goldman joined these efforts years ago as a strong annual contributor – Every year, thousands of people descend upon Columbus, Ohio for the Arnold Sports Festival, which draws 200,000+ participants in over 70 different sports competitions and over 20,000 athletes, which is double the size of the Olympic Games. What most people do not know, is that the festival weekend also helps After-School All-Stars Ohio. Funds are raised annually at a Celebrity star studded event, with all going to the needy children of Ohio. Over 200 guests attended the 2017 ASAS Ohio’s annual fundraiser, joining Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger for great food, cigars, and mingling with Gov. Schwarzenegger, Gov. John Kasich, as well as inductees into the International Sports Hall of Fame (ISHOF), an organization founded by Dr Robert Goldman, that recognizes some of the world’s greatest sports legends who also give back to society. Dr. Robert Goldman and Fairfax Hackley, from ISHOF, proudly escorted inductees: This year was Heisman Trophy Winner and NFL Great, Herschel Walker, Lou ‘The Hulk’ Ferrigno and Olympic Gold Medalist Speed Skater Apolo Ohno. In the past Dr. Goldman’s ISHOF have brought in many others, such as Baseball Hall of Fame’s Johnny Bench, 5 Time World Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield, UFC World Champion Royce Gracie, 13 Time WWE World Champion Triple H, Olympic Gold Wrestling Medalist Dan Gable, WWE World Champion and World’s strongest man Mark Henry, UFC World Champion Randy Couture, Mr Olympia Franco Columbu and many others. Eric Hillman, CEO and Co-Founder of Europa Sports Products, returned as the title sponsor for this year’s fundraiser, as well as corporate sponsors: Iovate (MuscleTech), WWE, Fox Sports Ohio, Cameron Mitchell Premiere Events, Hahn Loeser and Hollywood Imprints.
